معذرة على التأخير الشديد، واستسمحكم العذر الجميل.

سيدة فاضلة تبلغ من العمر 33 عاما. من الله عليها بنعمة زيارة المسجد الحرام في الشهر الجاري، وستسافر

إلى الأراضي المقدسة في الثالث والعشرين من هذا الشهر.

المشكلة التي تواجه هذه السيدة الآن هو أن موعد الدورة الشهرية لديها هو الخامس والعشرون من كل شهر ،

وهي منتظمة عند ذلك الموعد.

ترغب هذه السيدة في تأخير موعد نزول الدورة الشهرية عدة أيام حتى تعود من الأراضي المقدسة ، وهي ستقضي

هناك 15 يوما.

فهل يمكننا مساعدتها؟

ملحوظة: هذه الحالة شائعة جدا ، وخاصة في شهر رمضان المبارك وموسم الحج.

i think mohamed she can use oral contraceptive pills which act to stop mensturation as this pills contain progesterone hormone that make the uterrine cavity like that in pregnancy and prevrent menstruation but i dont know which type of pills will be used ?

Women taking the combined oral contraceptive pill
If she is taking a fixed dose combined pill then simply start the next pack without the usual 7 day break. Taking two packs 'back to back' in this way is safe if it is done occasionally. Do not go longer than two packs together without stopping for a period.
If she is taking a tri- or bi-phasic type of pill then you will need to take the last 'phase' of the pills from the second pack immediately after finishing the first pack. Alternatively she can change to a fixed dose pill.
How does this work
Women taking 'the pill' do not have normal periods. Rather, they are 'withdrawal bleeds' which occur when the oestrogen in the pill is not taken. The hormones in the pill help to sustains the lining of the uterus. The withdrawal bleed will not normally occur until the pill is stopped and the level of hormone in the body falls (usually once a month in the 7 day break between pill packs).
Women not taking 'the pill'
Norethisterone tablets can be prescribed. The dose is 5mg three times a day starting 3-4 days before a period is due. It can be continued for up to 2 weeks or so until she wants to have a period. The period will normally begin 2-3 days after stopping it. Norethisterone is normally safe to take. Some women have side effects such as bloating, stomach upset, breast discomfort and reduced libido (sex drive).
How does this work
Norethisterone is a progestogen hormone. Progestogens are hormones that sustain the endometrium. Normally at the time before a period there is a fall in the level of progestogen hormone in the body. When it falls below a certain level the lining of the uterus is shed as menstrual period. By taking norethisterone tablets (progestogen) the lining of the uterus is sustained until the tablet is stopped.

In the second condition (women who don't take contraceptive pills), they can use
norethisterone 5mg tablets as you have mentioned.

The usual dose is one tablet in the morning and another one in the evening,with a total daily dose of 10mg, to be used 3 days before the start of menstruation.
But the dose can be increased to three tablets/day if bleeding occurs(this means
that the dose is insufficient)
It shouldn't be used more than 14 days(exactly as you mentioned).

Side effects:

Beside the side effects you mention, menstrual irregularities may occur in the
few months following their use,as well as dysmenorrhea.
